No-Cost Quote Review

Free Second Opinion on Your HVAC Quote

Before you sign for a new furnace, AC or heat pump, let us check the quote. We look at sizing, equipment, warranty, permits and rebates, and tell you plainly whether it holds up.

Why a second opinion matters in Colorado

Replacement quotes in the Denver metro can differ by thousands of dollars for what looks like the same job. The difference is often in details a homeowner can’t easily see: whether the system was sized with a real load calculation, whether altitude was accounted for, and whether the quote assumes rebates that changed in 2026.

At 5,000–7,000 feet, furnaces lose output and condensing models vent differently. The federal 25C credit ended for systems installed after 2025, Colorado’s heat pump credit is $1,000 in 2026, and Xcel changed its rebates on October 1, 2026. A quote written months ago may already be out of date. See our HVAC cost guide and 2026 rebate guide.

What we check

  • Sizing: was a Manual J load calculation done for your house, and does the tonnage or BTU rating match it?
  • Equipment: efficiency (AFUE, SEER2, HSPF2), refrigerant (R-454B or R-32 on new systems), and an AHRI-matched indoor and outdoor pair.
  • Colorado rules: 2026 NOx limits for new gas furnaces, venting changes, and the permit your city or county requires.
  • Warranty: what is covered, for how long, and the registration deadline.
  • Incentives: which credits and rebates you actually qualify for at your address.
  • Ductwork and electrical: whether the ducts and panel can handle what’s being proposed.

How it works

  1. Call (720) 466-7983 or use the estimate form, and tell us you’d like a second opinion.
  2. Send a photo or PDF of the quote, or book a visit if we need to see the equipment.
  3. We walk you through what we found, in plain language, and what we would do differently, if anything.

Questions

Is the second opinion really free?

Yes. Send us the quote you received or book a visit, and we review it at no charge and with no obligation to buy from us.

What do you check on another contractor’s quote?

Whether a load calculation (Manual J) was done for your house at its altitude, whether the equipment size and efficiency match that load, whether the outdoor and indoor units are a matched pair, what the warranty covers and whether it needs registration, which permit is included, and which rebates and tax credits apply in 2026.

Can you look at a repair quote too?

Yes. If you were told a furnace, AC or heat pump needs a major repair or full replacement, we can diagnose it and tell you whether repair still makes sense.

Will you just try to sell me a system?

No. If the quote you have is fair and the system is sized right, we will tell you so. You decide.

Which areas do you cover?

All 52 communities we serve across the Denver metro, from Castle Rock to Longmont and from Evergreen to Lochbuie.
