Replacement & pricing
How much does a new furnace, AC or heat pump cost in Denver?
It depends on the system type, size, efficiency and what the house needs. Our 2026 HVAC cost guide lists sourced market ranges for each option.
Can you review a quote I got from another company?
Yes, for free. See Free Second Opinion.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying replacements, subject to approval.
Do I need a permit to replace a furnace or AC?
In almost every city and county in the Denver metro, yes. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
Heat pumps & rebates
Do heat pumps work in Denver winters?
Cold-climate heat pumps keep heating well below Denver’s average winter temperatures. Read Do Heat Pumps Work in Denver Winters?
Is a heat pump cheaper to run than a gas furnace?
At current Colorado prices a new gas furnace usually costs less to run; a heat pump makes more sense when you also need AC or replace electric heat, and dual-fuel is often the best fit. See Heat Pump vs. Gas Furnace in Colorado.
What rebates and tax credits are available in 2026?
The federal 25C credit ended for systems installed after 2025. Colorado’s air-source heat pump credit is $1,000 in 2026, Power Ahead Colorado pays $1,500 for cold-climate heat pumps in participating areas, and utilities such as Xcel offer rebates. Details: 2026 rebate guide.
Maintenance
How often should my HVAC system be serviced?
Once a year for the furnace (fall) and once for the AC or heat pump (spring). See our tune-up checklist.
Does altitude affect my furnace?
Yes. Gas furnaces lose roughly 4% of output per 1,000 feet, so they must be sized and adjusted for altitude. See How to Choose the Right Furnace Size.
