Furnace Repair in Dacono
Dacono's homes come in three main groups: houses from the 1970s growth surge, manufactured and modular homes, and newer subdivisions built since 2000. Each has its own heating equipment and its own typical failures. We figure out which you have, find what actually failed and test the furnace for safe combustion before we leave.
The 1970s surge and its aging ductwork
The city had only a few hundred residents until the 1970s, then reached 2,321 by 1980. Homes from that period have usually replaced their original furnace at least once, and the current unit may be 20 years old or more. We commonly find failed hot-surface ignitors, weak inducer motors, dirty flame sensors and worn blower motors.
The ductwork in these homes is often original. Undersized returns, disconnected joints and closed dampers lead to high temperature rise, furnaces cycling on the high limit and cold rooms at the far end of the house. We measure static pressure and temperature rise so the repair addresses the cause, not just the symptom.

Dacono Climate Note
At about 5,112 feet in southwestern Weld County, Dacono has typical Front Range winters and dry summer heat, which is why some homes still rely on evaporative cooling.

Manufactured and modular homes
Manufactured homes are part of Dacono's housing stock, and their furnaces are a separate category. Most are downflow units listed specifically for manufactured homes, often with sealed combustion drawing air from outside and ducts running under the floor. A replacement must be approved for manufactured home use.
Typical problems include failed igniters and limit switches, leaking or disconnected underfloor ducts, and loose roof jack or vent connections. Because a loose vent connection can let combustion gases into the home, we check venting carefully and test for carbon monoxide.
Newer homes in Eagle Meadow, The Glens and Sweetgrass
The housing count roughly doubled between 2000 and 2020, adding neighborhoods such as Eagle Meadow, The Glens of Dacono and Sweetgrass, with more construction from builders like Century Communities and Pulte. These homes usually have condensing furnaces with PVC venting.
Their most frequent no-heat problems are clogged condensate traps, frozen drain lines, sagging vent pipes that hold water and trip the pressure switch, and side-wall vents blocked by snow. These are usually quick fixes once identified.
Carbon monoxide, detectors and gas safety
Every gas furnace can produce carbon monoxide if combustion goes wrong or venting fails, and older equipment with original flues or loose vent connections carries more risk. A working CO detector on each level of the home, and near sleeping areas, is the most important safety device you can have. Replace detectors according to the date printed on the back; most last five to ten years.
Warning signs to take seriously include a furnace that smells of exhaust, soot around the burner or vent, a pilot or burner flame that is lazy and yellow, and headaches or nausea that ease when you leave the house. If a CO alarm sounds, get everyone outside and call 911 or your gas utility before calling us.
How we repair your furnace
We read fault codes, run a full heating cycle while watching each step, and test every safety device. We measure gas pressure, temperature rise and static pressure and run a combustion and CO test. Common furnace parts for Trane, Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, Bryant and Rheem are on board, so most fixes happen in one trip.
You'll see a flat-rate price before we begin, with no overtime fees, and the diagnostic is free when you approve the repair. We offer 24/7 emergency service.
Replacing a furnace in Dacono
A single failed part is a repair on almost any furnace. A cracked heat exchanger, poor combustion readings or multiple major failures on an older furnace usually point toward replacement. We'll give you the numbers for both.
The City of Dacono requires a permit for replacing heating equipment, and SAFEbuilt Colorado performs inspections for the city. Dacono adopted the 2024 International Codes effective December 17, 2025, and inspection requests made by 4 p.m. are scheduled for the next business day when possible. We handle the permit as part of a replacement.

Furnace Repair FAQs — Dacono
My manufactured home furnace keeps tripping the limit switch. Why?
Restricted airflow is the most common cause: a dirty filter, blocked floor registers, or crushed or disconnected underfloor ducts. We check airflow before replacing parts.
Who inspects furnace replacements in Dacono?
SAFEbuilt Colorado provides building department services and inspections for the City of Dacono.
My older home has one cold bedroom. Is it the furnace?
Usually it's the ductwork: a long or undersized run, a disconnected joint or a closed damper. We measure airflow at the register to find out.
Do you test for carbon monoxide?
Yes. Every furnace call includes a combustion and CO safety check.
